When running wide open around 64 mph and I cross someones wake or ripple for example it bogs a little for a few seconds then pics back up again. Also very boggy about mid throttle but idles great and wide open its great. Plugs look good. another thing is after I run for awhile and shut it off, its almost impossible to start without throwing new plugs in...and again the plugs really dont look to bad. One more thing...does anyone have a link to fixing the VTS not working problem?

When you say plugs look good, was this based on doing plug chops?

Because the carbs have different components for different stages of throttle, it is possible to run rich in your mid while running lean at the top. By doing plug chops, you read your plugs at different levels of throttle.

If you run at WOT for 2 minutes, then idle into the dock and read the plugs, you are reading them at idle.

To read them at WOT, you need to kill your engine at WOT and then look at the plugs. No idle in there at all, as this will change how your plugs truely read.

It is possible that all of the problems you are currently having, including the dieseling are due to needing your carbs tuned appropriately. Not saying it is, just that it is possible.

Yeah please dont tell me to do anthing with those carbs....Its very scary down there!!!! :o

Well, once you figure out where all your screws are, it should be no problem. The stock air box comes off easily, and if needed, you can take the carbs off without removing the exhaust.

It certainly is limited on room, though. You won't be able to run without the airbox on either as by removing it, you will mess with the air pressure to the engine and your motor will just die.

I am going to be removing my carbs soon and doing some cleaning/inspecting/maybe rebuild/rejet. I will take pics and post in the how-to section when I do.

I did find a set screw on one of the cables to the carb last night. Now I need someone to chime in and tell me the size of that screw. I think its on the choke cable
