I'm getting a grind that lasts about 1-2 seconds after turning over then goes away. I just changed the oil. I reinstalled the rebuilt supercharger last night but it didn't do this when I started it last night. It hasn't been on the water yet.. Just about a 30 seconds to a minute at a time on the hose. Should I worry?

Does it sound low in the engine compartment?

Almost sounds like the bendix is staying engaged.

Sounded like it was coming from the rear. After a couple times is seemed to have stopped. Not really sure what was going on.

I just had the dealer change the bendix in my ski, just under $2k for that! It didn't make a grinding noise, it just broke. Chewed up flywheel and everything else that was expensive!! Hope you don't need that done..

That sounds like a pretty horrible experience. My problem seems to have gone away so hopefully I don't have that kind of problem. Honestly if it needed a $2k repair I'd probably just get rid of it for whatever I can.
