I have two 2004 GTX ski's. Both have wrinkled fuel gauges. How do I remove the gauge to put new foil in. I have been told from front. Is that possible

I pulled the front cover, and disassembled it ... pushing the information center out. I've heard you can pull it out, but I didn't know that at the time.

What do you mean "put a new foil in"? I've looked for individual information center parts, but didn't have any luck.

unfortunately there is no "parts". It's one assembly. Search the forum however as recently some members have been able to jury-rig a fix!

Yes it's an assembly, but the parts of the assembly had to come from somewhere. These information centers are not that complex, and could be repairable if we could get parts. But if we could get parts, Sea-Doo couldn't gouge us for $600.00 for a new one.

I purchased film squares that they use for older ski's. Supposedly you take the wrinkled one out by pulling and scraping and a fix the new one. It's not really a foil it is a thin plastic film that will replace the wrinkled one

Well I suspect the parts came from China so........the only thing I've ever seen -and I had and may still have moisture issues with my 2002 - is the film replacement as mkov608 states above. And that's a "hack". Sadly it appears BRP has us over a barrel, at least electronically

It film you refer to is called polarization film, it is what makes a LCD work, it is available from Edmund Scientific, make sure you get the polarization film with the UV coating on it.
