I have a 2000 GTX Millennium Edition that ran perfect until I put 5 gallons of pump fuel that had ethanol in it. The boat would crank and run but only at idle. It immediately bogged if you gave it any gas (when in the water), on the trailer it would rev fine. So i put it on the trailer with plans to get r fixed this spring. When i took it to the repair shop they told me the MPEM is out and the boat will not even turn over. What would cause this to puke while it sat? My mechanic put it on his little computer thingy, and said it would not wake up? That means the MPEM is dead? Says he checked all the fuses in the back they are good. So i need a MPEM or could something else be the problem? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like the repair shop tried to jump the battery with a booster, and they burnt out your MPEM. They don't go bad while sitting. The only other thing is if you hooked the battery up backwards before taking to to the shop.

Was it cranking before you took it in?

As far as your other problem... Since it's the Millennium ed... I would say the carbs needed cleaned.

The boat sat all winter, the battery was dead so I did not try to start it. When I parked it in August it would crank. They put a shop battery in the boat before they tried to crank it. So he says? I had the same suspicion tho.

Most likely never know now?

Planned all winter to clean the carbs myself but talked myself out of it every time I took off the seat.

I'm willing to buy a used mpem if I could find one reasonable. 250- 300$

Thanks for the info!
