I just thought it might help if I went over the details a litte more in depth. Prior to this run, both engines had been compression tested by a mechanic who was a seadoo mechanic. Both were compression tested good, though it was tested by the same dealer that sold me the boat. It ran great on the lake though when I test drove it. Both engines started up fine.
Then on the lake today the #2 engine took a little longer to start and idle, then no problem. Cruised with both engines no problem for about 10 minutes (number 1 was running about 6000 RPM's, number 2 around 5700, I just figure this is due to throttle settings, etc). Then number 2 would just quit when I brought the throttle back a bit. Restarted it and no problem. About 10 minutes later it quit. Then it kept quitting more (about 3 more times in a 5 minute period). The last time it ran, the #2 i kept the gas up and the RPM's dropped off, reved up, dropped off, and it quit never to be started again.. though i did try to quite a bit, which I hope didn't hurt.
Now, the reason I suspected fuel pump is because this is exactly how my truck acted when it's fuel pump was dying then died.
#1 runs fine (it didn't like being at a high RPM without it being on a plane, I couldn't get it to plane with one engine because we had 5 people in it. So I ran it slow all the way home)
Oh yah, and how much would it cost to rebuild just for my situational awareness.
Lastly, thanks a lot for the info!
