Fuel pump issue

Hey folks, looking for some advice. In the process of slowly rehabbing our 2000 SeaDoo GTX, we took the carbs off the other day for a rebuild since one of the low speed screws was essentially junked in place (wouldn't turn). We used genuine Mikuni rebuild kits, and everything went back together without a hitch. Unfortunately, post reinstall, we're not getting any gas through the pump. The pulse line wasn't changed/seems to be fine, and other than the ski sitting for a couple weeks between the start and finish of the rebuild, nothing else in the fuel system has changed. Any advice on what we might look for or ways to narrow down the problem?

Thanks in advance,

I did follow the carb rebuild post, and everything went together like normal, but I did not have access to the equipment needed to test the pop off and leak down.

If it is not pulling fuel then you didn't get something correct with the fuel pump. That is why the final leak down test is so important.

Hey guys, I did more testing today. I got a vacuum meter and tested the pulse line from the engine to see what it was pulling and it was going from positive to negative pressure. I then hooked up a line with the meter to the connection on the carbs and saw it was pulling pressure. However, no fuel was being shown in the return line leading to be believing that fuel is still not being delivered. However once again, I hooked a line up to a tank outside the jetski to the intake line connection and it started right up, Then I connected the normal line again and then it started right up again. it seemed to have been fixed until I tried around 20 minutes later and it would not start again, so i did the same thing I did before and it worked fine again. Any Ideas on what is going on? This is on a 2000 gtx with carbs that have just been rebuilt.

Sucking air somewhere between the fuel tank and the carb inlet fitting. Try running a line directly from the tank to the inlet of the carb bypassing the fuel selector valve and fuel filter
