Alright, I've read a LOT about the need to replace the "gray" fuel lines to prevent the gumming up etc.
I'm not gonna lie...I know NOTHING about PWC's but am trying to learn. I looked under the seat of my (new to me) '99 GS to see if it still had the gray lines. While looking around, I found what I assume are the fuel lines. There is a cluster of 4 lines coming off the top of the fuel cell in a sort of manifold cluster. Problem is...they are what I would consider to be TAN in color not "gray"!?
Oil lines appear to be black. So...are my "tan" hoses actually the stock "gray" that everyone says need replaced? Engine compartment is EXTREMELY clean and grease/oil free so there is no doubt they are tan not gray in color.
If these tan lines do need ot be replaced...is it a difficult process? Looks to be a bit cramped in a few places to access unless more than the seat can be removed to gain access. Then is it just a matter of buying bulk automotive hose and pulling one at a time and replacing?
