Fuel issues

Hey guys,working on a 99 gtx 951. Ran great on the trailer when i got it. Sat a while, so rebuilt carbs with mikuni kits, cleaned tanks,and replaced some lines, (no gray lines left) Seems like i have an air leak loses prime and dies. Runs great if i run on gas can direct to carb. Ideas? thanks!

Fuel valve...fuel filter o ring

I’m thinking fuel valve also... I replaced the filter O-ring with no change.

Got it figured out. Found a split in the tygon tubing for the pulse line. Explains why it seemed like the fuel pump wasnt working. Ran good on the gas can because it was feed by gravity.

I would suggest regular black fuel hose for the pulse line. If the tygon is too flexible it will not transfer a good strong pulse signal.

Thanks mikidymac, I took ur advice and used the black hose. Starts right up and runs like a dream! Water test coming soon.
