Fuel guage not working on a 99'seadoo.xp limited

Can anyone give me the steps on removing the fuel sending unit to fix fuel gauge? I have read that the f1 fuse may be bad and can be jumpered or the magnets on the floats are missing.

Unbolt the shock for the seat then flip the seat up. Remove the big rubber plug and you will be staring directly at the sending unit.
