fuel gauge problem

1998 GSX Limited, the fuel gauge stopped working. The bars went away 1 by 1. Everything else works perfectly, just no fuel gauge. Any ideas how to fix?

float, inside the baffle is bad.

Do some searching, there is a fix for SOME fuel tank sending units, I dont know where it is, but its in here.. And I dont know if it applies to YOUR model. Youll know it when you see it, something about soldering a fuse on the pickup.
