Fuel gauge not working is there maybe a quick fix?

I have over 2 gal fuel in my 97gti but gauge wont register when install the dess is there something i can check before buying a bew used gauge? Thanks

Usually it's the fuel float, either it has sunk or the magnets have come off. Get the new molded style, the work on older SeaDoo's. Here's a link to the part.

not sure if this is the same setup but it works, i just threw a solder across the F1 fuse and it works great, easy and real cheap
