Fuel gauge idicator

First time boat owner . I have a 2005 240efi 185 utopia I fill fuel tank and never reads full .Always reads 3/4 full . Any help i can get on this would be very help full .Thank You

in order to verify the integrity of your gauge and wiring unlpug the lead form the sender on the tank if you ground the lead it should show empty if i recall and if you unplug it gauge should show full if gauge does not move when you do this fault is likely in the gauge but to be safe check the ground continuity and continuity of the signal lead from the sender to the gauge. if the guage moves when you do this it would indicate a faulty sender in the tank

Thank you. I will have to get a work manual. I have no idea where all that is. Can any one recomend a work manual for a 2oon 185 240efi utopia. Much appreciated . Has to be one a beginner can understand
