Do you guys do after every fresh water ride?

What is the procedure? I have that hose adapter from the previous owner.

Are these the steps?

Start engine
Turn on water for 10 mintues,
Turn off water
Turn off engine

Hope the neighbor don't complain :)

10 minutes is way too long. Start the engine, turn on water. Run for about 2 minutes, never more than 5. Turn off water. Rev it up a second to blow out water. Turn off engine.

Once the engine starts, I would want to run over and flip the water on right away (within seconds)?

exactly. I just bought a valve that goes on the end. that way im not running back to the faucet. It was a couple bucks at wal mart.

Have the water on, not full blast, but about 25% of hose capacity. Start engine, hook up hose, run for 2 minutes or so, then pull off hose, let run a couple seconds more, like 3-5 seconds. Kill it.

If you are in clean fresh water, you don't need to do this after every ride, unless you want to.

Salt water, do it after every ride. And hose down engine compartment with a light spray of water, and trailer, wheels, etc.

Salt will kill it over time.

Scooper,

Run engine first before turning the water on right?

no need to flush, if its fresh water. Just turn ski on, on trailer, and burp throttle a few times, and thats it.

But yes, if you are flushing, engine needs to be running before and after hose is hooked and de-hooked.

But not for long, just 5 seconds or so.
