no expert on the 95/800 but isn't the key factor in the rarity the X on the motor ?

I didnt' see an X unless I missed it. If there is no X then its just a 96xp with a pump extension and some decals, correct ?

As I said before, I always see "rare" "only 500 made" and yet despite the supposed rarity I see one pop up for sale all the dam time, a 5/1 ratio over the 99 spx for example.

There is a true 95/800 with the X, its running but has been sitting for some time, about a mile from me and the dude won't even throw me a price. (he was an ex racer and his wife won a freestyle competition or two in her day) And of course now that i've asked him to throw me a price at least 3 different times i'm sure when he finally decides to sell that he'll be asking twice what i'm willing to pay.

Definitely. I really dont care for the ski (pink gel coat :facepalm:) and most people just see it as another 1995 seadoo so its hard to flip when you have $800 into the ski alone. I am hoping to find a good 98 or 99 SPX to keep winter tho!

The 95 XP800 is rare in itself. Yes the X motor skis are more rare but that doesn't take away from the 95 xp800. Still the best x4 ever produced(IMO) lol

Meh, you're beating a dead horse. No one cares about the old pink and yellow skis. I'll just keep buying them when my wallet allows.

There was way more than 500 95 XP800's made. Maybe 500 787X skis. IMO it's the first real X4.
