That's a nice deal there
Clean XP for under 600$ would be a no brainer. It's in great shape and the 717 is a dam reliable engine. The 2 I sold that we bought new had approximately 600 or more hours. Never had 1 issue out of them. 1996 GTI and SPX

funny, I looked at that listing and said "meh" subtract $150 ish for trailer...(its not that nice, no fenders, looks like steel not galvanized) leaves $450 for the ski and it's obviously not running right or it wouldn't need a carb rebuild $80ish. I think the Blue registration sticker is the 2013 color, so it hasn't been registered in at least 12 months... not a good sign... and unfortunately, even when running right, the 95xp is a 800-900 ski. Now maybe if the guy had some receipts for the rebuild and I know it wasn't put together with some Frankenstein parts... I'd at least go look So not to say its a bad deal, but its definitely not a hurry up and start driving deal.

575$ for a clean xp on trailer (if compression is spot on) is not a buy it now deal?
I could flip that easy here for 1000-1200 all day long

LOL, that trailer is a homemade POS, it's scrap metal to me. There's not even a correct bow stop on it. And I can't even see leaf springs, does it have them or is it a ridgid axle? You also need to look at it in person. Remember, those were purple rub rails, how well did the guy prep them? What do they look like in person? If they look like a child painted them then you need to fix that before you can even think $1000, IMO.

I should know.
I sold mine w/o trailer for 1k and it looked way better than that and had single gauge hood, solas intake and umi throttle / start & stop switch, bored one over with pro x pistons)

May be but too much work for maybe little return.
I wish I could buy mine back.
I just hated seeing it in a corner with stuff on top of it.I talk to new owner and he's still smiling.

Sorry, didn't mean to burst your bubble on that,,, It certainly has possibility, but its not showing me any "get in the car now" upside. FWIW, I've always thought the 95 xp was a pretty cool ski, but it certainly doesn't drive high prices down here...

ps... I have RARELY run across a used ski, that didn't need something more than the seller thought it needed to be running right, so there's a very good chance that there are other ticky tack stuff that will eat into potential profits.

agree completely

haha yea, i thought about that one a while back, but it didn't seem very movable once the load was on, maybe i'm wrong, but seemed like a hassle getting it over the side of the truck bed too

After I posted it I thought I had seen it before?

I tried but no response. This guy must be getting hammered with calls right now. http://pensacola.craigslist.org/boa/4699211909.html

Just got off the phone with him and I'll be there at 10:00 tomorrow morning. He's a super nice guy, already tired of the usual cl jokers, and he is digging up the title and giving it to me for $150!!! Winter deals must be here.

Yep those are the pics she sent me. A 91 yes but an Islander it is not!

After I showed interest she started hitting me with the "hard sell" telling me how great it runs and what a good deal it is and whatnot. I was on the interstate picking up a 97XP on a galvanized trailer for $150 so I didn't have the time to educate her.
