I logged in and started to bid, but saw the location, that is a 2 day trip for me so no bid. If closer I probably would.

This is something that's hard to find....

But i'm actively looking for a Honda F15x, if anybody stumbles across one in their random searches, within 400ish miles of the Florida border i'm interested.... (gotta sell my Yami asap so I can be really serious) but both myself and my BIL are looking for one to do some long distance exploring 2-300 miles a day kind of stuff.

It is a shame that F12x won't work, there are several on cl now.

ya, i wish the F12 would do the trick, but it won't, if a 12 would work i'd probably just get another R12, I need the 15 for offshore, although i've never actually ridden one, i've been told by owners that its the offshore ski that all others wish they could be like, I believe the yami fx series runs a close second in economy and handling and the kawi ultra's are right up there as well. Given how hard the 15's are to find, I might have to settle with a plan B option. I've pretty much eliminated the Kawi's due to fuel economy, but the real research hasn't been done.

re: range on my yami... well, for lack of a better term.. it SUX... but how good can fuel economy be on a 1300cc 2 stroke engine ? (answer... it will never be good ) lol I plan most of my rides around a 60ish mile limit, but if I dont' do any WOT runs I can get 70 miles or maybe a tad more, never really pushed it to the limit of the range yet, but i'd rather have wiggle room.

with a F15, I believe I can push 100+ miles on a full tank in rough water, maybe closer to 120ish in calmer conditions.
On my R12 I can plan a 100 mile ride w/o even sweating it, and although I never tracked it on gps, I think when we did the Suwanee last month it did 120 miles with two riders, and I put 13.5 gallons in, so it had 2.5 gallons left. (15 mile cushion)

in order to push 120 miles on my yami, I would have to pack 12 gallons of gas on the back, yuk, if i'm going to pack gas, i'd rather pack it on a ski that would push my range to 150-180 and really be able to make some long runs.

spim, u gotta have the braley mentality, there is no need to get rid of any skis, just get MOAR!!!!

btw, i actually sold my sxi, i never even tried to get it running good, and it was such a pain to get it in and out of the truck, without spending more money, and more hassle, i'm actually looking for kayaks now....

but i still have my eyes peeled for a sweet deal on a ski, i love the 2003-2004 gtx supercharged, and I have access to the garage in ruskin :)

hmmm, we'll be riding this weekend, and as of right now I don't have anybody planned to ride my loaner..... :)
brother is out of town and I won't take my dad (72) in the ocean, only on the river.

so if you wanna come south Sunday... come ride with us !

We're thinking Pine Island Sound to Boca Grande (Ski Alley) and Back.. should be a good ride, some back water but mostly open ocean. Assuming the weather and winds cooperate, i'm NOT in the mood for another long rough water ride, I want smooth rollers.

Pine Island Commercial Marina
6001 Maria Dr, St James City, FL 33956 probably around 11am...

if winds are bad, we'll likely do a noon ride out of Franklin locks, all flat water, from Ft Myers to Labelle and back.

17850 N Franklin Lock Rd, Alva, FL 33920

damn, i'd love to, but gotta go to gville this weekend :(
i'll have tons and tons of free weekends when "summer" hits in may, but it's always test after test after test

Sorry to hear you got rid of the sxi was going to weld up the trailer next week......got busy at work and the weather seems to turn to crap when I was off...don't really need the repair manual....downloaded and printed from internet.

damn, but if the offer is still there, i may still be interested in a trailer/cart, i got a 10' kayak yesterday, so a cart would be tons easier than carrying around, plus i could prob use that trailer/cart for my next jet ski adventure.... :) and i still have the book, so its urs if you still want it.

thanks!

Here's what Spim needs! Brandy spankin' new too. Worth the drive if you got the hot nut for it I guess.
