Yeah I've been way too good for way too long! I could not turn these down. My buddy will get the double trailer for his effort and putting the money up initially. I will probably get one of singles also. He just got home safe so I feel relieved.

I've always wanted a "Grey Ghost". It seems pretty enough to go all the way with the engine if I have to. A co-worker wants a fast ski when he gets his tax return so maybe this is it.

The HX will be easiest. there is just nothing about a 717 that accessible that can hold me up for long. I'll have that thing serviced up and under the azz of a happy rider before you know it.

u should put some kinda braley logo on these skis, then before you know it, you'll start seeing some of ur own skis again :)

Very nice score, Matt! I was looking at that craigslist ad before I went to church yesterday. I had it up on my laptop all day because I knew it was a smokin' deal. Just too hard to tell my wife that I'm going to add two more skis to our current collection of four!

I'm glad someone on this forum ended up with them.

Yeah the little HX is gonna be a clean machine. It has not been registered since 02. The GSX sounds worse. The guy thought it has a blown head gasket, leaks water in the hull and won't run in the water, and my fav.....he and his brother took off some unneeded oil line? Uh Oh!

Luckily they are both good examples for saving. One of the batteries is dead as a doornail and the GSX needs a multi gauge(i have that one though)

think you're right dan, i saw that one a long time ago, but i was just afraid the platform was too small, i guess always use wood or get some more beams welded

Wow low hour 97SPX for $500? Somebody get on that.

Yeah Spim no "d" it's Braley, lol.

LOL i'll work on that :)

That is a very nice aluminum trailer.

Sounds like another smokin' Florida deal on the SPX!

I might call on the trailer, although I don't need one lol, that's pretty fair for a quality alum trailer, if it was a double, i'd be driving :) it would come in handy for the times that I only take a single ski out, but most of the time I bring both.

the spx...hmmm. I recognize that number but I can't place it to a contact in my phone (weird)... anybody want me to go look at it ? I get off early today. I'm pretty much out of the 2 stroke market unless its a part out or quicky flip, at this point i'm trying to get rid of all my 787 stuff and not collect more lol. That listing was out last week, I printed it an put it in my truck, but never called on it because I was afraid i'd buy it hahah

does anybody need a polaris 900 engine, complete ? very reasonable ? If it doesn't sell by the end of the week i'm going to strip it down and sell the individual parts... i'm tired of looking at the dam thing on my bench, its always in my way.

Thanks Danny! I've got to make another "in and out" stop in Jax Friday. I'll hit you up sometime when the weather is nice and I have time for a ride.

I'm looking forward to meeting those two Doos in person. The trailer has bearing buddies but I will have bearings and tires ready just in case.

I'd love to mod up the HX but it is probably better just to go original and simply fix and service everything.

I'm really intrigued with the .5 GSXL. I've read up on all it's issues and know just how to hit it. I'm on a big GSX kick right now so I wouldn't mind if this is the one that doesn't sell(if you know what I mean). I just have to list them all whenever I get them right and let the buyers decide.

It pays nothing monetarily to do this. I just love saving the things for some darn reason. It keeps me moving all the time and serves as somewhat of a savings policy oddly enough.

That would be great, Matt. You've got an open invitation.

I know what you mean by saying, "It pays nothing monetarily to do this." Even when you make a good, inexpensive purchase, by the time you fix everything that's wrong and replace worn out/non-working parts, you've got more money in the ski than you could get for it if you tried to sell it. Perhaps you might make something if you could take it up north to sell but probably not here in Florida.

I bought my two 1996 XPs two years ago in non-running condition for $900. I'm now up to a total of $2700 in them  . Still, they're a ton of fun and I have no intention of getting rid of them  !

Don't worry. I've got more than that in each of my X4's. I've got twice that in a RXX I'm gonna take a little hit on I'm afraid. The X4's can be forever keepers so no worries there.
