So far I like the contour 2+ integrated gps (349 list).
Don't like that you pretty much have to buy third party software to have the desired functionality when creating videos.
Dashware is a great package for $50, overlay various gauges maptracks etc.
One thing that is thin is editing tools for the actual video. The video from our ride Sunday was inverted, my fault didn't double check orientation. Dah.
Finally gave up trying to convert external then resync data. Downloaded racerrender demo (full versions $25-35) rotated and created several clips with no problem.

I ama GoPro guy myself I never tried a contour.thanks, i'm ok using my goproHD for now, but I guess i'm a lil' stupid, for a contraption that only has two buttons (but 10 settings), I find it amazingly easy to screw things up on my camera. I've filmed upside down, filmed completely fogged and can't see anything, filmed for a hour only to find out I was taking pictures every 10 seconds instead, filmed with fish-eye, forgot to use rain-x so made 45 minutes of useless video, filmed the inside of my storage compartment for 45 minutes instead of the twisty ride, filmed myself filling the gas tank on my truck, (drained the battery in the process), forgot to charge so only had 10 minutes of battery, brought the camera to the water and didn't realize until I got home that I only had enough space on the SD card for about 10 minutes, etc.. I've pretty much made every go pro mistake available I think.
Oh and I pretty much suck at editing (cheap and lazy I am).
Also learned that uploading video to youtube takes like FOREVER ! and only 4 people watched it, so I don't bother now, even my wife find's my video boring (tree's and water, tree's and water) All I generally do is just take a few still shots out of the video, send them to my ride buddies via email so they have pic's of themselves riding and then just save the video for whatever....

My other 951 is fine but this 95XP just popped it's 2nd MPEM. I'm about to take a sledge hammer to it. Any body want a great running 717(that pops MPEM's)? I have too much time in it and now lost two brains.....I lost!
OK ok, got back from lunch, found my bad ground connection, and all is well. I should not post in the midst of frustration.
I would run additional grounds. Extra grounds certainly can not hurt. Having a bad one can cost you an MPEM...
looks like your supposed to motor around the lake with your head stuck in a hole!?! At least they give you a diver's flag.
I'm going to Mobile to get a carbon fiber GSX hull and extra parts.....yeah! Hope to be bragging and pushing pics on y'all in 4-5 hrs.

my bro found his honda 4 stroke, (nice dam ski by the way) and now I'm trying to help him find a single aluminum (lightweight) trailer since he'll be towing behind a car with a low tow capacity, he's trying to cut weight as much as possible. They are hard to come across, so I'd appreciate the help !
