Monday, Nammer and I have a ride planned on the lower peace in the morning if anybody is interested.
(we're flexible on time but tentatively we're at 10am, and that crazy man plans on riding double with his wife on my XP !) so i'm bringing one of these.

No way man get the manta ray and the go pro ready for flight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You need a ocean ride out east by Daytona. I could do the 2.5 hr drive there.

daytona is a LONG drive for me, like over 5 hours, but i've launched from miami near the police station by the port (near monument island) a couple of times. that can't be too far from you... where do you normally launch from out of Miami ? (because honestly the peace river is only 2.5 hours for you as well, top's 3) But i'm not against making the tow from Ft myers to miami a few times a year, I just don't want to do it too often since it takes up a whole day. (more driving than riding)

Right before by Parrot jungle and the Miami Herald. Thats my favorite place.
Its south enough for me to go further south around Key Biscayne or stiltsville or fowery rock(lighthouse/snorking)
I avoid all NO WAKE zones. Inlet to inlet or ICW w/no manatee restrictions.

Wow 5 hrs to go west to east!

yes, its pushing 5 hours to daytona, that's not going to happen.. only 2.5 to miami. (5 round trip)

was playing on google maps.

2 hrs to go west-->east around Sebastian, Ft Piece and South area is ~2 hrs for Ft Myers.

I'm not against going west to naples / marco island or south of there.

The peace river is 3 for me.

anyway... no daytona :)

but I have no issues with miami.... and I have a guy actually working on a naples/marco trip, i'll keep you in the loop when I know a date.

I was watching the Daytona free ride w/the stand up's and that chit is crazy waves. Plus driving on beach sounds fun and I've never been

Me and Kblaloco1 has some 10' rollers 2 weeks ago leaving Govt cut. There were rip current advisories and a lot of wind but Damm it was FUN!

Takes 45 mins from ramp out Govt cut and South past Carndon Park / Stiltsville to Fowery Rock. Way off shore 8+ miles

Definitely, Naples is a little over an hour. I have to go South to SW 8th st the all the way West VS I75.


Edit:

Come down to the keys of 09/22 and 09/23.
The races in Key west. I have to work Saturday and Ill drive down at night.
Otherwise we/tentative are planning of leaning early ass Sunday and park at John Pennikamp then drive rest of the way down to tiki bar for race.
Space will be limited down there.............................

Holy Cow! I should of mapped Miami to Daytona its 4hrs for me.
I get to Orlando in just over 3 and I thought it would be closer.
So nixed that idea.

please, sp, lp, xp, i ride these skis like they are my bit$h, my wife is only 103 lbs, so i'm not too worried, but the most important thing is I learned to ride from "the" matt braley, so that already covers all the bases

Where do you guys meet on the peace river? Wish I had my xp broke in,I'd come down and let nammer's wife use my 92 and get the manual from him.

That's cool my gf lives off 170 about 1 hr 20 minute ride,and I think nammer lives about 20 minutes from me.do you know if he has a tow vehicle with a hitch? How old are you guys I'm 56 but most of the time I act like I'm 12 so I'm told !!!!!
 
I'm not worried about it,just saying,do you have a ski? Tow vehicle? I'm going up to gandy Tuesday or Wednesday to break in the 94xp I'll get ahold of you then and maybe hook up.

hey slotcsx, were you referring to me? i'm 28, wish i was 22, then i wouldn't feel bad about not accomplishing anything in my life after graduating college, but yea i have a truck with a hitch
 
That's a smokin' good price for that ski, Matt. I love my 1997 GP1200 and out of my stable, it's usually the ski most people want to ride. Because of that, I'm hardly ever on it.

if your GFis only 3 miles away, then you should come ride, I'll be there sunday and monday actually. i'm 46 but I ride like i'm 16. heck one one of the guys david I ride with now and then is 72, and rides hard and fast, he freaked me out the when i rode with him, i was taking it easy cuz we had an old guy with us, and then I let him take the lead and he took off full throttle for the next 10 minutes, I had to chase hi down !
