The tip of the tool goes into a hole in the lobe of the crank. Put no. 1 cyl at top dead center and look through the hole with a flashlight that the tool goes in and you'll see the hole in the crank lobe. The opposite end of the tool is to line it up and confirm the hole is lined up, then put the other end of the tool in and tighten. It is plenty strong, the crank won't budge and will be perfectly held at TDC#1.

Don't ever put the tool in unless it is TDC#1. It's not made to hold the crank at any random position, only at TDC#1.

ITS ALIVE lol

Finished this build and it started up just fine.
Both pump's seem to be working fine. Not sure on the oil pressure but its definitely moving oil.
I had both pump's machined to remove the damage and then set the pump's and covers into the cases about 10 thou.

There is still the water test to do but it does seem to work well on the hose.

How soon should I change the oil and what oil should I use as a cheap disposable break in oil?

Also what should the final oil be since its supercharged?

XPS and amsoil seem to be the front runners in the post's I've been reading. Some even use rotella. And then it turns into one vs the other and no useful info :P
