Hey guys,
I finally got the ski running, honestly couldn't have done it so soon without this forum. I've learned a lot about the mechanics of a jet engine over the last three weeks. Thanks again everyone.
Final question here..
I've got the 951 running, pretty smooth for 2+ years of sitting, but I've got a very high out-of-water idle. Somewhere around 4.5 - 5k with and without choke. Signs pointing to an air leak at carbs, right?
Now my air box does not have the proper o-rings on the carb-to-airbox manifold, nor can I find them anywhere online. Anyone have a link or part number?
Would that even cause this type of problem, or is the leak happening before carb operations (maybe gaskets not sitting right on engine manifold)?
I have already loosened throttle cable, has plenty of room. Also backed throttle screw out where it doesn't touch throttle plate. Still happening. That's why I assume an air leak.
