Fender and Dock Question

I feel like I'm losing my mind with this since I can't figure out an answer but I'm hoping that someone can help me out. In my home lake, I have a 2006 Sportster that I keep on a lift. However, throughout the summer we periodically visit friends on other lakes or take the boat over to a lakeside restaurant and I can't figure out the best way to tie off to the dock and protect the boat. I've always had an I/O bowrider which was easy to just put fenders at the tie points and even my older PWC had some obvious fender choices.

What do you guys use in this sort of circumstance?

Many stores sell suction cup fenders.

I have an 06 Challenger. Under normal, calm docking conditions i usually just use 1 fender at the fat / wide point and tie off to keep it centered there...
