Exaust valve Broken

I just fired the ski today. Seemed to run fine. ran fine when I put it away.
I notised smoke from the left rave valve. The valve had snapped at the stem.
Hard to remove. I cleaned the valves last year but not the housing.
A little scoring on the valve and piston. Compression 140 on the broken side.
145 on the good side. what could have caused this ???
I just ran it in the driveway. I could use your help.
Do you know any place to buy these parts cheaper than the dealer.

The parts link on this site helps to support the site. also I read of people going to sbt on the web. Im not sure why it wouldve broke. Have you rebuilt lately, The rave needs to be trimmed a little after a rebuild on top end...

if its a 96, then you got the first run of raves, which were weak. Need the upgraded/slotted ones.

If interested, got one, 35 buks, shipped to door.
