We’ve just inherited 2 Sea-Doo JetSki’s one from 1997 and the other from 2004. The 2004 RXP is coming up with two error codes P0616 and P0231. Any ideas how we can address this?
Thank you. It seems like although the wires look clean and tidy there might be a short somewhere. We blew several 10a fuses trying to start the jet ski.
That’s something we considered since the jet skis have been sitting idle for a long time. Maybe fuel or gunk has just built up and solidified somewhat over time. We didn’t notice if it was pumping or not, the jet ski started briefly then quickly shut off, blowing another fuel pump fuse in the process.
Disconnect the electrical plug from the the fuel pump and turn the machine on and see if it still blows the fuse, this will isolate the issue. It won't start but at least you can see before you buy an expensive pump.
