What would be a rough estimate for an engine for a 1996 seadoo spx?

Are you talking short block? Used?

A re-manufactured short block should be in the range of $ 1,000 to 1,200 a good used engine about half of that.

I think the 96 has the 720cc motor. So look on sbt and probably about 800 if you have a core. Or like Lou said you can prob find a good used one for 600-700 w out a core. Then if your installing u would want to add whatever tools or parts you need as well.
