Engine bogging down, now won't start

I have a 2003 Sportster. The last several times out on the water the engine would bogg down when full throttle, after about 5 minutes it would run great for the rest of the day. Today I could not get it started, when it did start it would bogg in and out for about 30 seconds and cut off, couldn't get it to stay running! Any ideas?????
