Tom's Evil Baby

My Evil Baby shuts off every now and then. Usually I can start it right away , but yesterday just quit , no power , no cranking only lights and pump and blower.
any ideas???

Some more info would be useful. Do you get any audible beeps when you insert your key or is it just dead. Did you check battery voltage, fuses, loose connectors or corroded wires, etc. In any case, you need to follow the power from the battery to various parts of your Seadoo to help diagnose the problem. If you don't have a multimeter, pick up a cheapy (<$20), and start your measurements there.

It sounds like the computer (and everything else) isn't getting any juice. I would check the fuses first, followed by the battery, then cables, etc etc. Best case, you have a dead battery, loose connection or blown fuse. The worst case is rather unthinkable (dead computer).

I found that the shop manual to be indispensible in diagnosing problems. You might want to pick up one in the premium membership section... they can also be found for purchase on the net, but premium membership seems to a cheap way to get them.
