Transducer location....?

I've got a transducer in my Challenger. I got the info from Kustomkarl on how he did his and it worked for me. So, I think it's generic for any boat owner that doesn't want it outside.

You'll need to be in shallow water or on the trailer. I did mine on the trailer. I did not put my plugs in and slowly backed my boat into the water until there was sufficient water over the fiberglass (about 1/2"). Then, I put the transducer in the hull, with the power on. Moved it around the bottom until the transducer gave me a good sounding. Then, I marked it with a red crayon. Then, pulled the boat out of the water.......rushed home to wash that crappy water out of my bilges!.....

But, after doing that, I used epoxy to get a smooth fit in the boats hull and mine has worked fine now for over a year.

When you put it in, the most important thing is not to have any bubbles in your compond during the setting. This will cause it to not work........

Hi
I have a challenger 180 and want to get an Eagle Cuda 350 installed in it.Could you tell me in detail how to install the tranducer and where? Also, how do I run the wires to the unit? And how to mount it because my boat does not have a flat surface for a mount?

By the way, you mentioned " Rushed home to clean your bilges" did you mean your bilge pump? How many do you have in your challenger?
