Dumb luck or sign if things to come?

Nutshell: 2021 Wake Pro 230 with .3 hours on the engine and the fuel pump needs to be replaced. This is my first ever PWC. My question for those of you with ownership history... is this historically just dumb luck or is it a sign of things to come mechanically with the other components? I'm a little gun shy at this point to go out on my own now without my wife being at the lake too to beg people to tow me in.

Thank you.

In your prior post, you stated you dropped a gas can cap in the tank. Maybe that led to the fuel pump failure?

I have no idea what would cause it to fail prior to that.

Do you have SeaTow service (or similar) available in your area?

He does mention it happened before he dropped the gas cap inside the tank
but like Xspook recommended Sea-tow or any other towing company its the best insurance and peace of mind to have out there .
Ps... Be positive take good care of your toy and it will take care you.
