Ok so I pulled an engine out of a 98 gsx limited, put a new top end in it and put it in a 99 gsx limited. I used the 99 mpem but still had single coil set up so needless to say it doesn’t run. I purchased a dual coil box and a flywheel with mag cup for what I was told was for a 99-03. Swapped the coil box on but the flywheel and mag cup look the same as what’s already on this engine. Has 2 magnet same size across from each other. Suppose it could be a newer engine but would think it wouldn’t run on a single coil set up. Mag cup says Denso 037000-3511. Really don’t want to take this apart again.
