Just bought a used 2001 Challenger 2000 which had some mechanical work done recently but I did not get the specifics.
However, from the brief description I think the problem that I had yesterday evening, after a few hours of carefree usage, is the same thing.
Boat starts fine, idles fine, sounds ok as far as I know, but when I went to power up the jet was not having it. No power to take off beyond idle.
Went back to idle an it was fine. Checked everything I know to check, which isn't much, but it looks ok just as before.
Reaching out to previous owner. Boat has a warranty on the work that was done until October so if I have to have an issue I hope that it is the same thing to that extent. Any enlightenment on what this might be would be appreciated. I'm guessing this is not a difficult failure to assess.
