Direction of oil seal at the magneto end

Hi, It's been a while. I hope someone can help. I am reassembling my 787 and would like to know two things. First, what direction does the magneto oil seal
go? There is a cup concave side and a flat side. Does the flat side point
away from the motor?
The second question is: When I sent my motor away, the hole where the
temp. sensor is near the spark plugs was filled . I have just a whole there
now, what should I do for that?

Oil seal....

Hi Linda. It has been a while since you were here. I remember you from back some time ago.
Your right on the oil seal. The flat side smooth to the casing.
The temp sensor. I'm not sure what your saying. Sounds like your saying you sent the old motor out with the sensor still on it, now when they sent it back, you have a "hole" in it.
You need that temp sensor hooked up. If there is a hole by your PTO spark plug with threads, you need to get a sensor in it and put your brown wire back on it...........
