95 speedster Crank Case should I replace center seals?

I opened up the crank case to replace the end seals and discovered one side is very wet with oil, one side light oil.
I've read that the center seals can cause oil to be sucked into the case.
The wet side seal does have a light film of grime at the seal outer edges( can't see inner side), but otherwise looks good.
There is an O-ring that was broken at the far pto end of the crankshaft, would this allow the oil to be heavy on that side?

What would be the correct way to remedy a bad center seal?
Thanks for any help you can provide.
