I bought this boat in May of 2009, I've sold it now but I just picked up a 2005 supercharged sportster. I got alot of ideas for my speedster from here, so I figured I'll put pics of it on here to help out anyone else restoring, hopefully give someone else some ideas. When I bought the boat it was not running. So I took it to a local marina and had them go through it all first. Boy was I in for a surprise. (Don't buy a boat with a bad MPEM) Anyway, Re-upholstered the seats which was actually really easy. I did all of them myself except for the top back bench, because it had to be stitched. Hydro-turf, steering wheel, custom wrap, and l.e.d.s. I had alot of fun on it, and decided to get another one this year. I'll post more pics of the new one as it's coming along. I just got it last week, probly end up doing all of the same stuf again. So enjoy and if you have any questions feel free to ask. Thanks again for all of the cool ideas.

Where did you get those decals i like them? A lot better than the original gray purple and yellow. I have a 97 seadoo speedster and i am customizing it i have painted the hood black and removed all the old decals. I have also reupholstered the seats and put new black grab handles on and now i need some new decals.

Hey man your boat is looking awesome. Did you do all of the interior yourself? I am starting a similar project myself on my challenger and I'm digging that red on black hood hatch and steering column. What did you use and what steps did you take? Thanks for any info.

Awesome looking build. You did a great job, looks better than any original boat during those years.

The more I look at these pics, the more impressed i am. Thats a damn good lookin boat. Is the lower half painted black or is that all a wrap? If it was all done in vinyl, how much was it. I would love to do mine up like that.

It looked really cool up close, it looked like those air-brushed flames. It was a dark carbon-fiber that faded to a lighter black. I was really happy with it.

Hey man what did you use for the hood hatch. What kind of a process was it? Also does the black hydro turf get hot, was thinking of getting that or dark gray. It's looking nice man.

That boat looks amazing. I wish I had bought it from you! Let me know when you're done with the new one, lol!

I started stripping down the 05 just cleaning it mostly. Little things, it wasnt as dramatic as my speedster. Ill probly just put hydro-turf, new decals, radio, etc. As far as the black hydro-turf it doesnt get hot, but I live in Michigan so the summer only gets 90 tops.

did u paint the white a parts with some white paint?? or did u use some product to rescue the color??

You did an awesome job on that boat. I wouldn't have a clue how to redo one like that. So did you sell the old one and get your money out of it?
