Well this morning I cut the hull up from the gtx that I just stripped for parts. A sawzall and a half an hour and now I have pieces that the garbage claw truck will take. They built these things strong. Around the rear tow hook the glass is almost an inch thick! They also but metal hard points burried in the glass in key locations. This one died so my others can live.

haha great post, I just stripped the same. After cutting up one (standup) I quit the sazall business and went into the hauling/dumping business to the landfill but I hate making the drive. There was no doubt that that the gtx was a strong one, its dam heavy, but I wasn't aware of the additional things like the reinforcement.

Has anyone else cut up other hulls and fount anything interesting ?

I got the bad news last week my garbage guys wont pick them up anymore w/o me cutting them. I really didnt want to have to...I hate fiberglass dust but its either that or a half day of strapping it all down and driving to the dump 30 mins away.

I actually cut my spare spx up with a sawzall and tossed it in the dumpster. I remember the nasty fiberglass itch, and the thick parts I couldn't really get thru and how it would buck the sawzall back into me.. That was in the keys..
Here, I just slid my GSx hull out the curb and ignored it.. It eventually disappeared.. I'm guessing the trash guys took it
