getting ready to assemble the 951 after rebuild. doing new crank seals now. What type of sealer do i put in between the crankcase halves???? I am having a hard time finding this in the manual, or i am looking right past it.

I have this:

and this:

Which should I use or neither?????
Thanks guys. dont want to have to do it twice:cheers:

Use Three Bond 1211 to seal the cases. There is nothing better. You can get it from your local motorcycle dealer.

:agree:the factory uses three bond 1194 (1104 old version) but 1211 is better but costs more than twice as much. if your building a stock motor TB 1194 will be fine. Also, yamabond is very good as well.

crankcase seal

hey guys, I have the same issue, with the crankcase seal, what number yamabond is recommended. thanks

It's been a few years since I used yamabond, but I think it was 5. When you go to look... you want the "Gray" product.
