Corrosion protection for trailer springs

I have an alum triton but the springs will surely corrode. What do you recommend to protect the springs, white lithium spray grease or corrosion block? Could also use wd40 or apply a light coat of wheel bearing grease. Any suggestions based on experience?

Nothing just rinse with fresh water. Spring steel.
LPS 3 is used a coating for corrosion. Dinitrol is really good stuff. Spray on all battery connections and you will never have to clean the terminal.

When I was young, I remember using wd40 and it worked pretty well if you hit them every second or third trip. I have hard torsion for the last 3 boats which dates back 15 years so have not had a spring trailer in a long time. I'm going to use corrosion block. I'm not going to be in saltwater very often anyway but the springs on my 3 month old trailer have a decent amt of surface rust. I'm going to clean them and treat the springs

fluid film is the only one that i've used with success.
However, I never gave much of a dam about a little rust on my springs, that's what they do, they rust, I don't think it impacts them negatively unless someone else can educate me otherwise.

I worry more about the hardware, I can't stand rusty bolts and nuts because they are a b1tch to remove once they get good and crusty.

Maybe I should take a closer look at my trailer, I just rinse it off and park it until the next ride.

I'm in the process of building a trailer. I just bought these for my leaf springs. They have a grease fitting in them and lock nuts. Figured this will help for suspension and tear down if needed.

Boeshield T-9. Engineered by Boeing for their planes. If it's good enough for corrosion control on a 747, it's good enough for anything I have.

this thread reminds me that I need to order another gallon of CRC, i'm down to about 15oz in the windex bottle and i'm on my last aerosal can, < I need to stop giving the cans away, I used to have a bunch of them.

Just broke my trailer down last month and replaced all the leaf spring hardware, most of it was pretty rusted and suspect. I ended up brushing all the loose surface rust, then cleaned it up the best I could and put 2 thick coats of Rustoleum hammer finish paint on there. Stuff goes on really thick and I just glommed it in there. Came out looking quite nice. I know it won’t last forever, but all you can do is try to slow the rust process down a bit.

I have heard talk around boat yards that old salts used to take a toilet wax ring, let it get nice and gooey out in the sun, then slab that on the springs and hardware. Supposed to last a season or two before reapplication. Never tried it myself, seems like it would work.
