I have a 98 gtx lim with 261 hours that I am working on, what would be a low compression reading in which I should have to start thinking of rebuilding the motor.
I am going to check it tonight.

Well bad news. front cylinder is 50psi and the rear is 105psi.
So where do I go from here. Is this a total rebuild or just top end or is it time just to buy a newer ski .
261 hours on a 951 one, that crank is about beat. If you just throw a new top end on it the crank could blow after 10 hours, could last another 100 but highly doubt it. I wouldn't risk it. I rebuild the entire engine
