Cleaning Rave Valves

I just cleaned my Rave valves on my 2000 GTX and noticed that both the O-rings and Supporting Ring were located on the underside of the guillotine valve. After consulting my repair manual, it appears that there should be a o-ring on the underside of the guillotine where you side it into the base and then on the top side inside the bellows along with the support ring going on top of the o-ring. My question is. The support ring is concave. Does it go concave down or up to meet the inside spring that resides under the bellows. Thanks

The concave part mates with the O-ring so it goes away from the spring and towards the O-ring. Hope I understood your question and that I answered it.

Yes. That was the answer I was looking for. I guess I put it in the wrong way. Do you think that would impact the performance if I left it alone. Those spring clamps that hold the bellows in place are a mother to put back on.

Honestly the Rave valves are one of the easiest things I have worked on. If you have them in wrong, I would take them back apart and install correctly. It will affect performance and seal. Take the time to do it right.
