I am the second owner of my ski and the foam on the hadle bars are filthy, it looks almost as if dirt, grime, and mold are embedded in it. Does anyone know of any cleaner that may get rid of this? Not to mention the foam part is yellow so it stands out and I cant take it!!!

You could try some non chlorine bleach to kill the mildew, or even some oxi-clean. Since it’s the foam part… it’s hard to say what would work.

So after looking at it a little closer I found the padding top layer is almost gummy, I imagine this is from sitting in the sun, when I got the ski the grips were like fresh chewed gum in your hands lol! I tried to use hairspray remover and it didnt work. I used soft scrub Comet but then realized it had bleach in it so may attempt to find some without bleach. Im wondering if there is any type of degreaser that may work...hmmm!

Don't use Castrol Super Clean on it !!!! it eats soft paint and some plastics. You could try simple green, but I don't think it will do anything for the mildew. If the plastic (vinyl compounds) is turning gummy... there really isn't any hope for it. You may try IPA (alcohol) to dry it out.

I thought about Mean Green as well. Im thinking about just cleaning it the best I can and then topping it off with Color Bond. I figure this will get me through the season and start replacing things in the winter.
