i have a 2005 rxp 215 "chk eng" blinks and a red light blinks. i plug in lanyard and i hear 2 beeps. i hit set 5 times and "end" displays. what do i need to do from here?
Disconnect BOTH cables from the battery (and any other that may be connected), touch the two cables together for about 15 seconds. This will discharge the capacitors and reset the computer I believe. Put it back together and see what you get.
Did it ever do this before you changed the spark plugs? What type of plugs did you install? DCPR8E? I found an interesting section in the manual about electrical noise causing problems without setting a fault code, but that section talks about the engine cutting out without setting a coded in the EMS; see page 99: http://www.sea-doo.net/SHOPMANUALS/PWC/2005/seadoo_a/smr2005_4-tec_vehicle_a.pdf.
In my own case, I did experience erratic indications on the information center while the engine ran fine. The cause was water/corrosion inside the unit.
I removed terminals hold them together for a minute and checked all electrical connectors and coated with di electric grease. Put back together and check engine displayed and red light blinking also. Starts and runs fine lots of power. Maybe I should bring her to a dealer and put her on the computer but there is no codes on the machine
Today I finally got a code but I had the engine running and the code was p0113 which I think is intake manifold temp. She stills runs and has lots of power. Should I still use her like this? I'm at my cabin for another couple days yet and I would like to use her but I don't want to do damage
