Last week, my starboard intake grate "fell off" (uh huh .. fell off) and broke the weedless cable off at the top of the threads. Ughhh ...
I'm looking for tips on replacing the cable .. right, I said "replacing the cable."
Looks like I can order the part from Riva and I'm pretty game for most challenges mechanically, but, ummm .. looking for some pointers.
Pulling the rear deck hatch off for easier access to the engine compartment - anybody know how those shocks come off? The mounting brackets are rivited. The shocks MUST have a "quick disconnect?" (going out to look now)
After that happens, I'm going to start taking things apart, looking for both ends of the cable.
Did I mention that I have plans to go boating next weekend? Wish me luck ... (and send a few pointers ...)
