Just had my 2000 challenger 2000 looked at and the place said it was a seized engine and it would cost 4800 for a re manufactured one. any suggestions for a cheaper way out and if it really is a seized engine. thanks

It's a Merc V-6? Sounds about right if they are doing the labor.

If you want to save $$$ do the install yourself. Also, call around to Merc dealers and see what they they will sell you a powerhead. Last few prices I've heard were $3200 to $3500.

if it is a Merc motor, pm WAJetboating, think thats his "sig name". Guy knows his stuff w/ that motor. Found a thread of his, where the Merc motor, can/is be replaced with a Merc outdrive motor....
