Time to replace the carbon seal on an 04 speedster.
Is this a difficult job and so you need all those special tools they use in the shop manual?

If you only remove the pump/shaft enough to swap seal parts and do not loosen the motor mounts you should be fine, this is also a time to open the rear cone and inspect the pump shaft/seal/bearings and service as needed.
