Hey guys, I have never cleaned my carbs on my 98 GTX limited before. Ive cleaned my Ski doo carbs before, so i have a general idea. i was trying to search for a how to link on here with pictures and step by step instructions but could not find much. Does anyone have a link saved with a descriptive Carb cleaning process with pictures?

Thanks

that link will work for disassemble/re-assemble of carbs and cleaning them. But you get'n to them is another story....Behind the pipe at top, in the middle, is a metal tang which hols the airbox, unclip it, then push down on the air ducts to remove them, then you can snorkel out the aibox assy. After that, you just have to "feel" for the allen blts, since you DO NOT want to remove the pipe, which removing the carbs CAN be done with pipe in place..

Welcome to the site!

Sounds like your bringing it to the wrong place...those are fairly simple to work on and used parts are plentiful. You are getting asz raped on NEW OEM parts. I would try to find a local guy on CL that works on them. The bad ones just tell you to bring it to them...the good ones will talk with you.
