Hey ya'll - new member and first time poster.

My lady cruised over a ski rope and wrapped most of it around the driveshaft of a RXP215. I did some research on the forums and decided to remove the intake grate and see what I could do. I wrench on my rig often enough and it seemed like a straightforward job...

Anyway - the larger front bolt came off easily, but two of the rear (right and left) are just turning; won't tighten or loosen/back in or back out. The center one came out no problem.

Are there any known issues with these two bolts breaking, or perhaps issues with the sleeves they are threaded in to?

I'm on a long roadtrip, so I don't have all of my tools (especially a screw extractor).

Thanks a ton in advance!

Hi & welcome to the forum.

Did the heads of these 2 bolts break off or are they just turning forever?

there is brass aluminum boss that are molded into ski that those bolts screw into, you can apply pressure downward and literally pull the studs out of ski if you have to then clean them up and mix some epoxy up and glue them back in to put grate back on...hope that helps.

What's the year of your ski, I'll look and see if I can locate an assembly drawing?
