I looked at the supercharger removal video for the RXT. Then I read that the
Process is easier with the 2006 gtx limited. If anyone can take me through the
Process or send an updated video I would very much appreciate it

Is pretty easy. Remove the rubber pipe connecting it to the intake, and remove the the bolts that hold it. Next, gently pull it out of the block. You may have to remove other things like the coolant bracket or whatever is in your way.

- Remove the cross piece under the seat.
- Remove the S/C intake and exit hoses.
- Remove the band clamp between the exhaust manifold and J pipe.
- Disconnect the two small cooling hoses between the exhaust manifold and J pipe.
- Slide the water box and J pipe rearward about 3" to 4".
- Remove the three bolts holding the S/C to the block then slide it rearward and out.

The first few minutes of this video show the S/C removal.

I was able to remove mine without touching the exhaust/water box. Yes, it was tight, but worth it. One less item to deal with.

Only the newer ones, 2009 and up I believe, with the newer water box, can the sc be removed without sliding the water box rearward.

Here we take one out of an 05 RXP.

Replace those (*&^&*&^&*(*&^&**&^%$%^&* torx bolts with M6 x 35 SS Hex bolts when you re-attach.

There is a special place in hell for whoever decided to use those things.

I agree. Those bolts can be challenging. At a minimum order new ones as they are easy to strip the head under pressure.

I have done quite a few SC rebuilds for local guys and have not had a problem, yet ! I'm sure my time will come eventually. For the top bolt a 1/4" twelve point wrench works better than the oem tool.

I bent a wrench for that top bolt until
I did that, it was no fun at all.

I like the torx bolts. If you grind down the tip of a ratchet wrench, it is very simple to remove the top bolt. In fact, it is the easiest of the 3.

Oh man now you tell me. I just removed mine and sent it to PWC muscle after moving the exhaust back.

I only own Snap-On wrenches. I just couldn't grind it.

So bent a regular wrench and it is now a "Special Tool".

Just removed mine - 2013 GTR215. In mine you have to move a bunch of stuff. Tip...the top hose connected to the engine block IS filled with pressurized coolant. Took a whole roll of paper towels to soak up coolant. It was convenient when it was moved though. Why TF did SeaDoo put that one in the back. That just sucked. Supercharger on it's way to Tampa.
