Provided you don't run it more than 60 seconds, all will be good. Any longer and you need the hose attached for the exhaust cooling and certainly no more than a few minutes or the carbon seal heats up and wears out.
The manual for the 4 tech motors indicates starting the motor for 30 seconds, running it up to about 4000 RPM and shutting it down at those RPMs. This moves the oil towards the collection point. Remove the oil then, with the throttle wide open to prevent it starting, turn the motor over for a few seconds, then remove the oil that has again been moved to the pan. Do this a few times to remove most of the oil. Make sure you remove the siphon tube from the motor before turning it over otherwise you are in for a whole world of hurt.
Once this is done you are right to replace the filter, plugs and fill the oil up again. Make sure to not overfill it because this can be almost as bad as underfilling.
