I got 2 plates and 18 screws holding my leg together. I can't get in my speedster. I wanted to crank the engines and let them idle for little while. I had the wife crank both and I let them idle for awhile while boat was on the trailer(about 5 minutes). I'm thinking that was the wrong thing to do. Do I need to connect the water hose first, then crank, then turn on water, then let it idle or can I let it idle without hooking the water up. I know it's a dumb question but I'm still dopey from the meds and I'm pretty much a moron.

Yep, pretty silly i'd say! If you run both motors for 5 minutes with out water theres a good chance there cooked? You might also want to check your through haul bearings as well! These also need water to cool them from seizing up!

hope you did not damage anything; the proper order would have been crank; turn on water; let run; turn off water; turn off boat

Uh...anything more then say 15 seconds running without cooling will over heat your seadoo engines. If running on the hose. Connect the water hose. start the engines, Turn on the water...run for no longer than 5 minutes so the jet pump bearings and seal won't over heat, shut off water, turn of the engines.

Well, doods, all is well. Was on crutches for 5 months and heavy meds for a few months. The idling the wife and I did caused no damage. Had is serviced for this summer and the dang thing runs like a top. Had a great time all summer at Crab Island(Destin, FL). Jerked the heck out of a tube with my brats in it. I love that boat. :hurray:
