Bringing shine out of black seadoo rxp.

I have tried a few name products to get the black to shine again on a rxp but it has not worked, I really don't want to speed buff the ski(unless I have no choice)or use sand paper. Its not really bad but now that I removed the old registration numbers and letters you can see a very nice black underneath. What do you guys recommend?

The haze you see is oxidized gelcoat, only way to get rid of that is to knock the oxidized gelcoat off by wetsanding. gelcoat is quite thick so it's doubtful you will cut through.

Then once the oxidized layer is removed by wet sanding, you have to keep it waxed to seal it from air re-oxidizing the exposed gel coat.

Honestly if it was mine, I would just wet sand around the numbers area to try and get a color match in that area and be done with it but maybe you prefer to make the ski new looking.

product called costacoat that works pretty well, search on ebay. pretty simple, just make sure it's clean and wipe on but it takes about 6 coats but will look like new for the rest of the summer.

Remembered last night after posting I did a similar thing as this You Tube video to a past Travel Trailer and it turned out Great. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4LdBAttKg_I

I also cleaned the aluminum on my pontoon and coated it a couple years ago. They still look good. I have only occasionally when parked in water just wiped sides of toons down to remove any waterline dirt. They still look good.

Zeps wet look is available at either Lowes or Home Depot for about $25.00 per gallon. I put on 3 coats and was happy. From what I have read the more the better, BUT several coats on a 30 ft plus RV is a good bit of work. Apply in very light coats and don't let it run or bubble. I applied it with a microfiber cloth and that worked good. You may want to use disposable gloves as it does build up on your hand after a few coats.

Im thinking I may try this soon.
